How does aromatherapy work?
When essential oils are inhaled they can stimulate area of our limbic system, which is a part of our brain that plays role in emotions, behaviors, sense of smell and long-term memory. The limbic system also assists in controlling some unconscious physiological functions, such as breathing, heart rate and blood pressure. When we inhale essential oils the molecules go into the limbic system, which then links the smell with our emotional and physical response.
Our essential oil inhalers and blends are natural aromatherapy tools that are used in hospitals, mental health clinics, and wellness centers, and by hospice and home care professionals. They are used to support mood, decrease discomfort, manage nausea, help with memory, and encourage relaxation and sleep.
